Adult Social Care
The first incubator in Torbay. Open for applications.
This is a programme to help people in Torbay
set up, develop and grow social enterprises focussed on Adult Social Care.
What if everyone in Torbay received the support they needed to live a life of dignity and social connectedness, to live free of isolation and dependency?
There is enormous potential to achieve these aims through social innovation and enterprise.
This programme will develop a new means of encouraging and supporting new, and potentially innovative services which will be offered by social enterprises. This focus will help them to be more financially resilient and develop a culture of peer support.
When and how?
September – November
The programme started in September. During October and November we will be recruiting, interviewing and building the group. The initial meetings will aim to identify what skills and experience the members have and what are their needs, this will help us design the programme and find suitable mentors where needed.
December – February
There will be regular support meetings, sessions with invited speakers, workshops on the chosen topics, specialist support from HR, Accounts & Legal professionals as part of their CSR.
March – May
The programme continues with support meetings, invited speakers sessions and workshops. Additionally, there will be one morning a week in a co-working space.
June – August
The programme continues with support meetings, invited speakers sessions and workshops. Additionally, there will be two mornings a week in a co-working space, pending there is sufficient demand.

The Incubator Hub will be based at the Paignton Library. Participants will have access to BIPC which includes free access to an extensive range of online databases, webinars and one to one sessions with experts in many business related topics.
We would like to hold the invited speaker events and workshop in person, however where not possible, these will be delivered online.
The requirements are that your project is feasible and that you have the time to develop and bring it to fruition by August 2022.
Your project must be aimed at meeting the needs of people in the Adult Social Care sector.
Q&A zoom session
We will be hosting a Q&A zoom session on Friday 15th October 10am – 11am.
This is a great opportunity to ask questions about the Incubator ONE and your application.
