Why?

What if everyone in Torbay received the support they needed to live a life of dignity and social connectedness, to live free of isolation and dependency?

There is enormous potential to achieve these aims through social innovation and enterprise.

This programme will develop a new means of encouraging and supporting new, and potentially innovative services which will be offered by social enterprises. This focus will help them to be more financially resilient and develop a culture of peer support.

When and how?

September – November
The programme started in September. During October and November we will be recruiting, interviewing and building the group. The initial meetings will aim to identify what skills and experience the members have and what are their needs, this will help us design the programme and find suitable mentors where needed.

December – February
There will be regular support meetings, sessions with invited speakers, workshops on the chosen topics, specialist support from HR, Accounts & Legal professionals as part of their CSR.

March – May
The programme continues with support meetings, invited speakers sessions and workshops. Additionally, there will be one morning a week in a co-working space.

June – August
The programme continues with support meetings, invited speakers sessions and workshops. Additionally, there will be two mornings a week in a co-working space, pending there is sufficient demand.
