What does a healthy &
inclusive economy
look like?

PEOPLE POWERED CHANGE

We’re interested in listening and exchanging ideas with members of all communities. We invite you to join us in answering this question – what does a healthy & inclusive economy look like in Torbay? And to join us in working collaboratively to make it a reality for everyone.

We are Local Spark Torbay Community Supported Enterprise CIC – Local Spark for short. We’re a small but mighty Community Interest Company with huge determination, bags of optimism and a fierce desire to make good things happen in the communities we love.

Practically speaking, we work with members of all communities to start up and support businesses for good, build productive networks of enterprises and non-profit organisations, and engage large anchor institutions to unlock their transformative potential.

We’ve got lots on and high ambitions. We’ve launched the Torbay Social Enterprise Network, which will help businesses in Torbay with a purpose connect and make more visible the rising social economy. We ran the first annual Local Entrepreneur Forum in 2019 and will run more in 2021 and beyond. We’ve got a regular programme of workshops and can always connect local entrepreneurs and social enterprisers with helpful experts. And we’re determined to work with large ‘anchor institutions‘ to unlock their potential for the local economy. Explore our website, subscribe to our newsletter and follow our social media to stay in the loop of what’s happening.

It’s easy!

I believe in what Local Spark are trying to do. I too want a healthy and inclusive economy in Torbay for myself as a local business owner and also for my children.
